spammers on Craigslist

If you ever get generic responses like:

<< I have a place for rent,email me back if you need one. >>

<< Hello, I read your post on Craigslist, looking for housing still? >>

You are most likely dealing with a spammer fishing for your email address.

There is also an equivalent tactic used in dating ads. It would be truly evil if they did this on "missed connections".
