LaTeX; Kile

I'm starting to become a serious LaTeX user.

Kile seems like a nice front-end.

It shows a tree structure of the document on the left-hand side, and buttons to automatically generate DVI, PS, PDF, etc.

But 'copy', 'paste' and 'undo' are missing/broken, while 'cut' works fine! Dude!

Give WinEdt a shot. I wrote my dissertation with it.

I have. It seemed alright, although I don't remember if it had the tree view for sections, subsections, etc.

is there no LinEdt?

There is, but they spell it "emacs".

I've used it too. It's excellent. I even registered.

Alas I've moved to the Mac now. TeXshop isn't bad, but not as handy as WinEdt. The hunt goes on...

That's odd. I use kile in uni. Copy and paste work fine! Though I've never used the menu options, just ctrl+c and ctrl+v
