There was a time when I was obsessed about using an array of screens, each representing a different desktop, like Unix's multiple desktops feature. I was using several full-screen applications at once, and that would have spared me a lot of clicking. It's surprising how hard it is to implement such a simple idea.... like all the other "obvious" ideas here, I guess.
